A Few of My
Favorite Things

There are many things to love about my move from
Boston to Los Angeles..While I love my job and the weather
(It is literally 75* and sunny everyday),
today I explored some of my favorite shopping destinations,
and was in complete awe when I found out how
much better the selection of clothing and accessories
are here in Lala land than back in Boston.

While the weather is partly responsible for that fact,
stores like Nordstrom and Bloomingdales buy items for their
stores based on their clientele and I didn't see one pair of
Berkinstocks today at Barney's...Just saying.

Anywho, just from my exploration of little boutiques on
Robertson like Curve and the amazing Neiman Marcus out here,
I thought I'd share with you some of my favorite pieces and trends :)

Catherine MalandrinoStrapless Silk Jumpsuit
(Available at Saks Fifth Avenue)

I have always been a lover of jumpsuits and
rompers, but only when they are done well and not
looking like they are coming out of the "I'm Real" music
video. While they can be dressed up for a dinner, I feel as though
they look best during the day.

Alice + Olivia
Lindsay Lace Tank
(Available at Neiman Marcus)

The older I get the more I realize that despite the
saying "One must suffer to be beautiful", I would
much rather be comfortably stylish than want to
ming someone in the throat because A.) I can't drink
my normal amount of Diet Coke without looking
like I just ate a small child or B.) worried that
I'll end up walking around like a homeless person with
no shoes because my heels were killing my feet. Purchasing
comfortable basics like the Tank listed above is perfect
because it acts like a blank canvas and I can throw it on
with boyfriend jeans and heeled sandals for the day or pair it
with leather leggings, a chic blazer and pumps
at night.

3.1 Phillip Lim

Pocketed Draped Trousers                                                              (Available at Neiman Marcus)

I used to only wear skinny style pants. From denim to ponte knit pants,
I never left my comfort zone. However, I am kind of loving these draped
trousers..although I feel you should only wear a heel with them, unless its a
really chic and dressy flat.
Elisabeth and JamesLily Erwan Jacket
(Available at Nordstrom)

I saw this today at the completely
renovated Nordstrom at The Grove which is
amazing.. and fell in love with it instantly.
The smell of the leather, the seams and the
print is perfection. If it wasn't $1300 I would
probably already be wearing it to bed already.

Hope you enjoyed!
Stay tuned for my Oscars Red Carpet Post!
XOXO

My first Week in LA!

I know I started the video blog a couple weeks ago but I felt like I would be
talking your ear off if I made a video and talked about settling here in LA,
so I thought a written blog  entry would be best. First and foremost,
I love it here!! I miss my boyfriend family and friends
so much but am so happy to have made this move.

Ever since I was a little kid, my dream was to move to Los Angeles
because I felt like if you wanted to succeed in fashion and entertainment,
it is where you can make your dreams come true. Well it is.. and every morning I
wake up here I feel like I have the world and all of these resources to make
it happen at the touch of my fingertips.

The second day I was here I had an interview for a great
internship and within days of landing in LA I began working there!
Any given day we are working with Hollywood's top stylists, lending them gowns
to dress Hollywood's top actresses and entertainers, who are going to
prestigious events like The Golden Globes or The Oscars..

I am lucky to have landed a great internship but am
even more excited to see what else I can accomplish. I know
that my hard work ethic, dedication and love for this industry
will take me as far as I want it to go..

As Conan O'Brien once said..
"If you have good manners and work hard,
amazing things will happen."

Here I go!
